We heard your feedback, and we’re listening! Starting September 17, the Bacău County Emergency Hospital will launch a series of courses titled „Styles and Techniques for Effective Communication in Healthcare.’”This program is dedicated to employees directly involved in patient interactions, aiming to enhance communication between medical staff and patients/their families.
We hope these courses will contribute to:
✔️ A more open and empathetic attitude among healthcare professionals, improving patient comfort and well-being while reducing tensions and misunderstandings;
✔️ Overcoming communication barriers, so that patients feel better heard and understood during consultations or hospitalization.
The course, organized into study groups and designed for the 1,000 employees, will provide participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding and practices to evaluate and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills with patients and their families.
During the courses, participants will acquire essential knowledge and skills for effective communication in the medical field, focusing on:
➡️ Interacting with patients, as well as collaborating effectively within the medical team;
➡️ Efficient conflict management.
Special emphasis will be placed on understanding communication barriers and noise, helping participants recognize the importance of message construction:
✔️ Improving the quality of medical care;
✔️ Understanding the impact that effective communication has on the doctor-patient relationship.
Participants will develop essential verbal and nonverbal communication skills, with a focus on:
➡️ Using clear and concise language in medical interactions;
➡️ The effectiveness of nonverbal language, including facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice.
Additionally, techniques for enhancing listening and empathy skills will be taught, aimed at developing active listening abilities both in patient interactions and in teamwork with colleagues. These techniques are essential for delivering sensitive and personalized care to each patient.The ultimate goal of these courses is for participants to improve their communication skills in a practical and relevant way, tailored to the medical work environment.
